FemFit

A running, strength and nutrition app designed around the reality that training needs and life circumstances change — without treating those changes as failure.

Built for women from the ground up, not a generic fitness app with feminine styling. It works fully whether or not you track a cycle.

What it does

Built around how women's bodies actually train

Six of the things FemFit does today. Every cycle-aware part of the app is optional, and everything else keeps working when you leave it switched off.

  • Runs recorded properly

Distance, pace, elevation and heart rate live from your phone's GPS, with auto-pause when you stop. Afterwards you get per-kilometre splits with the fastest one marked, and your best efforts at 1 k, 5 k, 10 k, half and full marathon kept across your whole history.

  • A streak that pauses on your period

Your fitness streak pauses instead of breaking. Logged period days, a flare-up you marked as unable to train, and any day you simply declare a recovery day all protect the day — with no proof asked for. Period pausing is a switch you turn on yourself.

  • Nutrition with a real food catalogue

Search a real food catalogue or scan a barcode instead of typing everything by hand. Log in servings, grams, ounces, millilitres or fluid ounces, see protein and iron alongside carbs and fat — and switch the calorie numbers off entirely if you would rather not see them.

  • Check-ins, recovery days and flare-ups

A short daily read on energy, sleep, soreness, stress and pain, where every score is optional and "not answered" is a real answer. Log a flare-up across a range of days rather than one, and mark any day — past or present — as protected recovery.

  • A live link for a trusted contact

Share a live link with a trusted contact while you run, and stop sharing whenever you like. There is also a check-in timer and a stationary alert that carries your last known position, plus a manual SOS on the record screen.

  • Achievements and buddy challenges

Forty-three badges across ten categories, tiered from Bronze upwards so there is always a next rung. Challenge a friend with a short code you paste into a message — no account, no leaderboard, and no way for either of you to come last.

Privacy

Your data stays on your phone

Cycle, location and health data are among the most sensitive things an app can hold. FemFit is built local-first because of that, not in spite of it.

  • Local-first, by design

Everything you log lives in a database on your own device. There is no backend and no sync — by decision, not by omission.

  • No account

No sign-up, no email address, no password. You open the app and start. Even buddy challenges work by pasting a short code into a message.

  • Export or delete, any time

Save a copy of everything as one readable file, wherever you choose to put it. Or delete the lot with one button — and because nothing sits on a server, nothing is left behind.

  • Cycle data never leaves the device unless you choose

Cycle and wellbeing data is left out of an export unless you tick the box, never appears on a shared card unless you turn that on, and never goes into logs or analytics.

A look inside

Progress you can see without being measured against anyone

The trophy case shows what you have earned, everything still on offer, and how far away the next rung is. Weeks that hold protected recovery days ask for proportionally less, so resting can only ever help.

There is no weight badge, no appearance badge and no nutrition-adherence badge anywhere in it — those are excluded by rule.

The FemFit Achievements screen in dark theme, headed "My Achievements", showing a trophy case card, All and Earned tabs, a Category sort control, and badge cards for Week After Week, Noticing How You Feel and Seven for Seven with their progress toward Bronze.
Achievements, dark theme.
